The World Citizen Foundation is a private foundation. It was incorporated in Vermont, USA (February 1996) and started its activities in 1998.

The Head Office is located in New York, USA right next to the UN-Building and keeps relations with institutions and supporters in the Americas.

The France Office in Strasbourg keeps relations with the institutions of the European Union in Strasbourg like the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights, an institution of the Council of Europe.

The German Office in Stuttgart keeps relations with the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in Hamburg, Germany and the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.

The Austrian Office is located in "Europahaus Burgenland". In their biannual publication "Weltgewissen" the institution covers topic on cosmopolitics.
